The Troppomatics are comprised of experienced, Darwin based performance artists and Victorian based street band aficionados.

Nicky Fearn, Lisa Patamisi, Brian “Strat” Strating and Lyndal Chambers first met in Melbourne-based Streetband, Havana Palava. They have gone on to explore the possibilities of street music performances, most recently performing as the core of Invy Horn Jam at the National Folk Festival 2024.

They have been joined by renowned Darwin musician’s and theatre workers Gail Evans, Tania Lieman and Todd Williams.

As a group they value the interaction, spontaneity, and the blurring of the lines between audience and performers
